Tourist and locals alike are visiting The St. Augustine Distillery- to tour, taste, and learn about hand crafted spirits right here in the oldest city. Vodka, gin, rum, and Florida’s first small batch bourbon are now being made in the restored historic ice plant on Riberia Street. Philip McDaniel and his partners are not only winning gold medals and historic preservation awards but also fostering partnership with local and regional farmers to grow the ingredients for the craft spirits they are distilling on site.

Sustainability is a key to the business practices at The Distillery. This American traditional small batch hand crafted spirits production includes the use of local corn in season, regional wheat, and 100% Florida farmed sugar cane along with honey, and citrus producers from the sunshine state. Water conservation is achieved through the installation of an environmentally responsible closed cooling system. The Distillery owners pride themselves on community involvement and keeping their business local. Free tours are available every 30 minutes and the tour includes a visit to the museum, the actual distillery floor, and a tasting of adult beverages made with the distillery’s spirits. You will also have the option to purchase spirits, mixes and barware to make the perfect St. Augustine cocktail.
