Jacksonville’s Grassroots Natural Market is located in the historic Five Points section and describes itself as “Riverside’s natural alternative.” Owners James and Jack Robison grew up with parents that believed in natural/organic alternatives to safeguard the health and well being of their family. These beliefs are still very present today within their sons’ market. Grassroots has a strong organic line of vegetables and fruits, many from the local area… receiving a minimum of six fresh produce deliveries per week from certified organic vendors and growers. Shoppers will see a focus on local and regional as well as more “exotic organic produce” from further afield that makes for a rich variety of hand selected, artisanal, specialty items. The shelves are well stocked with eco-conscious home products and organic groceries.
Grassroots supports our local farmers who are using sustainable organic farming practices, and more and more of them are. The staff knows each farmer by name and welcomes them personally as fresh seasonal items are delivered daily. Knowing where your food comes from is easy to find out at this neighborhood market just check the display board or ask one of the truly knowledgeable staff members.
