Snail of Approval: Royal Palm Village Wine & Tapas

Owner David Joudi, partnering with certified Sommelier Kori Blacker, and including Chef Chris Robert work together to bring to Jacksonville this new wine market and tapas restaurant Royal Palm Village Wine & Tapas.  With their extensive training and experience, they make available a large selection of domestic and international- sustainable, organic, and biodynamic wines for their customers to enjoy by the glass with their freshly prepared tapas or by the bottle to enjoy at home.  These individuals are committed to supporting local businesses with a vision of sustainable agriculture.

Chef Chris transforms seasonal fresh herbs and vegetables from the on-site garden, along with carefully chosen local ingredients into tasty tapas. He also makes all of the restaurant breads, pickles, & sauces.  Local honey, greens, diver shot fish and local cheeses and other items close to the Spanish tapas cultural tradition are also included on the menu.  Stop in and taste what is on their seasonal menu. Some recent selections included Jicama Shrimp Tacos with Salsa Verde, Red Chile Coulis, & Cilantro or the Panzanilla Salad with Crispy Serrano Ham, Mixed Greens, Manchego Cheese & Preserved Lemon Oil. Olives marinated with herbs fresh from the garden are a favorite of many.  You will find your take-out selections carefully placed in recycled paper products.
