The Green Erth Bistro- a restaurant and catering establishment is currently the only Persian restaurant in Jacksonville and the NE Florida area. In addition to an extensive Middle Eastern and American menu, Owner and Chef Mashid Parsa also specializes in vegan catering. She is committed to providing high quality and attentive service while offering delicious, authentic Persian cuisine for both lunch and dinner.
Setting a high standard with organic and local food resources, Mashid creates authentic dishes with care and combines delightful flavors in her appetizers, entrees, and desserts for all to enjoy whether you are vegan or not. Olive Oil from Golden Olive Press in St. Mary’s GA, B and D sauce, and fresh produce and herbs chosen personally by Chef Mashid are just some sources that fill the menu.
You will recognize many Snail of Approval recipients-local artisans, farms, breweries and suppliers –available here and included in the Bistro menu. It is a skillful combination of these local fresh herbs and produce are required to produce authentic Middle Eastern cooking. Try the signature Barley Aash, a hearty mix of barley, lentils, navy beans, garlic and herbs –or- the Fesinjan with pomegranate paste and sautéed walnut chicken. The Persian Ice Cream, flavored with rose water is a crowd pleaser.
