You do not have to be a foodie to recognize from the moment you walk in the doors to MOXIE that you are someplace special. Judging from the name alone, one might imagine you were in for something bold and bodacious…Chef Tom Gray and his team do not disappoint.
From a highly serviceable layout with interesting personal touches at every turn, to the carefully sourced ingredients used in the lunch and dinner menus…from the energetic, knowledgeable, and committed staff in both the front and back of the house to the connection with both local and artisan producers ….MOXIE brings guests great food with swagger!
Al Fuentes, Executive Sous Chef, maintains a daily connection with the many purveyors that MOXIE sources their ingredients from to ensure the best of local, organic, natural and sustainable products. With an ever evolving menu, these farm partners are a vital part of the restaurant and guests receive the benefit of top quality and optimal freshness. Local food is sourced and served every day. Farm partners include: Cognito Farm, Bacon Select Produce, Sweet Grass Dairy, Black Hog Farm, and The French Pantry, …. just to name a few from their growing list.
Not only do the food and cocktails employ this devotion to perfection but the entire building was designed and created with careful thought and many owner-inspired additions including the use of reclaimed wood from Maine, where Chef Tom claims his family roots, and a fabulously personal map panel that depicts the many experiences that Chef Tom and his wife, Sarah Marie have shared over the years. MOXIE has their own in house water filtration system and employs recycling and ecofriendly practices at every turn. In a word, MOXIE is the epitome of Slow Food and you will be glad you have taken time out to pay a visit.
