SFFC Snail of Approval: bb’s

Under the ownership of Barbara Breoderhopf and Karin Tucker, bb’s showcases the talents of Chef Joshua Agan in this popular Jacksonville restaurant.  Chef Agan’s respect for the freshness of the food along with its source and preparation are apparent.  Of note are major efforts in the areas of water conservation, detergent usage, recycling, and earth friendly practices.

Chef Agan is also tending a roof top garden to support his menu with seasonal herbs and produce.  His experiences in the culinary field include the west coast’s Fifth Floor, Grand Café, and Taste Catering. All menu items are freshly made from scratch and many contain locally sourced and seasonal items. Local favorites include the meze platter with hummus, tempura fried green beans, and their signature shrimp bisque.  Many current Snail of Approval recipients are purveyors of choice for this restaurant.

bb’s legendary deserts are award winners and include the 2011 Best of Jax and the Open Table’s Diners’ Choice Winner 2012.   Save room for a sweet finish!
