Bakery Ribault, formerly Alex’s Russian Bread, is a storefront bakery and café in Jacksonville’s Riverside neighborhood. Alex Podlyas, owner and baker, has been baking organic sourdough bread for the Jacksonville area since 2011 and selling at local Farmers Markets. In his new location, he is offering Growers Alliance Coffee, French croissants, tarts, lunches and of course his authentic European sourdough.
As you step through the door the aroma of yeast and buttery pastry is immediately apparent. Alex bakes everything right on site with state of the art equipment which he has researched and hand selected for quality performance. Tuesday through Friday you might find a selection of croissant including chocolate and cinnamon as well as seasonal fruit tarts to carry-out or enjoy right there, or in warm weather, al fresco. He is open early 6:30 AM for that first cup and a sweet to begin your day.
On weekends, you can still find Alex at the local Farmers Markets.
